GAIN CHANNEL

IMPORTANT – The “Volume” control is now a Master Volume for the gain channel. Do not use this as a Gain control.

1.) “Volume” Control

  • The “Volume” control is now the Gain Channel’s Master Volume
  • Warning - Do not use this control as a gain control!
  • This control is to be used as a Master Volume for the Gain channel to set/balance the volume with the clean channel
2.) “Gain” Control
  • The "Gain" knob actually controls/adjusts two (2) pots simultaneously.
  • Small adjustments will make a significant difference
  • The Gain control can be adjusted for wide variety of tones
  • When the control is lowered the tone is cleaner & darker
  • 3-Position “Bright” Switch is tied to the "Gain" control

3.) EQ Controls – Bass, Mids, Treble
  • The EQ is Marshall based but it also very active & responsive
  • Small adjustments will make a significant difference
  • We recommend starting with EQ set to 12:00
  • Power Amp "Master Volume" - Set to designed volume
  • Presence - We recommend starting at 12:00

4.) 3-Position "Tone" Switch - Attenuates highs & lows (Available on Custom version of Mod)
  • Attenuates highs & lows
  • #3 – Warmest Setting / Maximum high end roll off – Thicker low end response, Tighter
  • #2 – Brightest / Most open sounding setting / Chunky low end, Smoother feel / Control is bypassed
  • #1 - Medium warmth, Chunky low end, Medium tightness (warmer then #2 & less open/edgy then #1)
  • Note – This control is tied to the "Volume / Master Volume" & can be used to tame high end and should be set to taste.

5.) 3-Position "Bright" Switch

  • #3 – Maximum Brightness
  • #2 - Warmest Setting / Control is bypassed
  • #1 - Medium Brightness (Brighter then #2 & less brightness then #1)
  • Note - The lower gain modes are louder in volume by design. IE: This is normal
Important - The “Bright” switch affects the tone a few different ways;
  • On a scale from 1-10; When Gain pot is set to 1 the tone will be brightest
  • As you slowly make full rotation around pot the Bright switch will begin to have less & less effect
  • When Gain control is set to "10" there is no audible difference but you will feel a difference on the low end. IE: it will feel tighter/crunchier
  • Set to 12:00 the tone will be crunchier
  • When Bright switch is engaged the amp will feel tighter / harder to play on
  • "Off" / #2 position (bypassed)
  • Tone is smoother & easier to play on
  • Set to 12:00 the tone will be warmer/browner with less gain verses when the switch is "on" the tone will be leaner/sharper & will have more gain

Clean Channel

The Clean Channel is more useable as well as smoother & easier to play. The control features are as follows;

Features – Volume, Treble & Bass. We recommend keeping the volume between 8:00 – 9:00, this allows for the best “clean” results & will keep this channel as balanced as possible.
