Can I send  only the chassis and tubes to save on shipping or do I need to ship the whole combo with speaker? -  Yes you can, however, 1.) If we do not have the combo enclosure containing the speakers then we will be at a disadvantage, meaning we will not be able to hear or feel what the amp is doing through the combo enclosure that the chassis lives in.

2.) Transformers - If you would to Upgrade transformers (Deluxe & Platinum Mods) we will have to have to combo enclosure as we will need to carefully measure the amount of physical room we have to work with, otherwise when you receive the chassis back it may not be able to be installed properly. IE: a transformer may rest against a speaker's frame preventing you from being able to install the chassis into the combo enclosure..
