Customer Feedback Trace, You did an absolutely phenomenal job on my PRS 2 Channel H Head! You made a decent sounding amp into a tone monster! The gain channel with the 'Mid-Drive Mod" just sings.
Clean Channel; In its stock form the clean channel had nice clarity but the bright switch barely made any difference. It was an average Fender type clean. I wasn't unhappy with it but at the same time I wasn't beaming over it. The new Mid-Drive Mod gave me the depth and sparkle you expect from a vintage fender clean. And it is extremely pedal friendly.
Gain Channel; In it's stock form the gain channel was very dark. The Bright switch did very little and treble pot altered the tone very little. At times the gain was kind of fizzy and the low end was a bit flabby. The Mid-Drive Mod added tremendous flexibility. The gain structure is creamy and organic. The lows are tight and chords are articulate and single note lines just sing for days. I can't stop playing it without a big grin my face! Thanks Trace, You rock brother! - Anthony Gallucci, NY
Customer Feedback I spent years chasing this tone and spend more money than you can imagine trying to nail this. It's like the amp knows what Im gonna play before I play it. The cleans are smooth like water flowing over class and the gain channel is no longer dark and muddy. I can get older plexi tones all the way to blistering blues like Bonnamassa & Gary Moore. I love the sustain and I can now play leads on the clean channel now which was impossible to do before the Mod. Customer Feedback - Trace, I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am with the Mid-Drive Mod you did for me. The first thought that came into my mind when I played through it was "God I wish I had this amp 20 years ago!". Rest assured that everyone will know why this amp sounds so good. I love the switching options that you installed. They are all very usable and give me plenty of range to find the perfect tone. It's the first amp that sounds good with my Tele and with my slide guitars. That's always been a challenge, until now.
I'm thrilled with the overall sound of the amp. I've never played through an amp that had such smooth distortion, sustain and pleasing harmonics. The sustain, note separation and the expressive qualities of the amp are amazing. My Aqua Vibe sounds so much better through it as well as my wah pedal. I appreciate the time and passion that you devoted to my amp. It's obvious that you take your work seriously and love what you do. It has been a real pleasure to make your acquaintance and I will definitely be talking to you again in the future about one of your amps.
