Customer Feedback Wanted to give a very public 'THANK YOU!' to Trace Davis & Cindy at Voodoo Amps!! I just received my amp back today from having the DC-Mod performed, which makes it a true, 3-channel amp. I now have separate Gain and Volumes between the Green & Blue Channels. This also corrects the jump in volume too. It's just great being able to crank the gain on the blue channel, while still preserving a perfectly clean green channel -- all with no jump or drop in volumes. Trace was extremely pleasant & professional to deal with & my amp arrived extremely well-packed!!! It's honestly some of the best money I've ever spent. THANKS!!" Customer Feedback Just wanted to tell you that I received the amp yesterday. Could not wait to get home and try it out. It’s been a tough week and I was thinking that my mood might affect my perception of the amp. Well, I have to say “THANK YOU” because not only did the amp sound great but playing through it made me forget my problems. I walked out of my practice room a new man – smiling ear to ear. I play in a cover band that plays a wide variety of rock/hard rock music. It has been a struggle to find a small amp that does everything I need it to do. I can tell already that this 5150 mini with the Voodoo mods will do everything I need it to do without having to compromise anywhere. I cannot wait to get to my next gig. - Ron Cataldo, CA
Customer Feedback My 5150 III combo is pretty much perfect now. I sent it to Trace to get it to where I could use the blue channel because the red channel was pretty much unusable (too much gain & too harsh) and too noisy. After the Standard and DC mods, the Red channel sounds as good as the Blue channel, all of the noise a hiss is gone, & the Red channel's Gain picks up right where the blue gain leaves off. I find myself using the red channel instead of the blue channel now. Even more important is that I have a clean channel now thanks to the DC Mod. Customer Feedback I LOVE the DC Mod! This is exactly what this amp should have come with. I love how I can dial up a sweet clean tone no and step on channel 2 and I have an ass whippin gain tone for my rhythms! I absolutely love channel 2 now, it has the chewy woody low end like the older records but the mids still hit you in the chest. The high end doesnt hurt my ears now, much smoother. I can get pretty damn close to older VanHalen tones. Channel 3 is improved as well and I notice a lot less noise on the gain channels. I can easily live with the gain knob around 1:00 and its crazy easy to play on while all the gain is surprisingly useable. It turned out way better than I ever expected. Customer Feedback Hi guys, I’ve had the Modded head for a few weeks now and I’ve been spending a great deal of time with it. Let me say I have the full size and I bought one of the ‘Stealth’ versions that has Eddie’s tweaks on it. I bought the 50 watt head because I planned to keep it at home and use the full sized head for gigs. After playing on the Modded mini I took it to one of our shows and it cut through better than the full size head, I kept having to turn up the big head but it just kept getting louder and I couldn’t hear it nearly as well.
The Modded mini was noticeable easier to play leads on and rhythms felt easier too. It’s like I was more connected to it compared to the big head. I used this for half of one show and for all of the other show. I had three guitar players come up to me and tell how awesome the tone was. I gave them the website site address and one took a cell phone pic of the Mod sticker! My Stealth is going on eBay and I’m getting a 1959 reissue Marshall to send to you for the 5160 Mod! Customer Feedback I’ve had 2 Marshalls Modded by Voodoo and I knew this amp would come back sounding great and it did. I can’t get over how much quieter it is and incredibly smooth and easy it is to play! There’s Mod guys who make amps sound great on sound clips but getting an amp to feel like this makes me look forward to playing. It was well worth the wait and I’d do it again is this ever got stolen. – Al Collins, CA
