Good Monday morning gang! We worked through the weekend & Monday morning is here :) With espresso in hand (God bless coffee--lol); The leaves are changing & falling here at the shop, the air is growing colder & winter is coming!

The summer months of July through September have traditionally been a bit slower however this year has proven to be twice as busy. This is by no means a complaint & is a good problem to have, though it did take us by surprise. We have recently brought on two gentleman that are helping during our company’s growth. We kindly & respectfully ask for your patience as we are working diligently to get back to our normal turn around times.

“We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest level of quality & tone possible. We do not want to rush through or send out an amp unless I am 100% happy with the results, only then can I expect you to be happy with it. I truly thank you for you business, for your continued support as well as your patience. I have said this many times but we truly have the very best customers anyone could ask for. Thank you so much & have a great week!"  - With much respect, Trace Davis - Founder / President

Here are excerpts from a recent Rock Guitar Dailey interview Tony Conley did with Richard Fortus.

Tony Conley:  "Switching gears, I mention that Richard's playing first got my attention via Trace Davis of Voodoo Amplification - again, it was Fortus' work with Thin Lizzy that enthralled me. I asked him about his working relationship with his amp guru."

Richard Fortus: "Well, Trace has done so many things for me - he's Modded Marshalls for me, Modded Kelley Amps for me, Kelley. the designer from Selmer left the company and started his own shop. I'm a big fan of their amps, and Trace has done a couple of those for me, he's done Park amps, Vox - he's done a bunch of stuff for me.

I love his attention to detail. He was the guy that successfully cloned my main Marshall, which is a '73 100 watt Jose Modded amp that I bought from Mick Mars. "Motley Crue wasn't doing anything at that point, and Mick was getting rid of a bunch of gear. I was invited over to his house, and I played through a dozen or so amps, all Jose modded Marshalls.

I plugged into this one and just hit one chord, and it blew my head off. That was his #1 amp, his recording amp. It then became my main Marshall. I had been trying to have it cloned for a long time, and finally I came to Trace, and he cloned it - a fantastic job, and after that he became my 'go to' guy for amps.

We've designed an amp - we're going to release it as a signature model amp. Basically, the clean channel is based on my favorite Plexi which is a '68 PA, a 50 watt p.a. head, and it has a boost to it, as well. The other channel is based on that '73 Jose mod, and it also has a foot switchable boost for leads.
"It's almost like a four channel amp, but it's really just two channels. I am really excited about that amp!

It's what I've been using live, and it's like having my four favorite Marshalls in one box, which is amazing. I've been using it with Guns N' Roses for the last year, and we've been tweaking and refining it. Lately, I've been using it with a Strat, plugging straight into it on The Dead Daisies stuff, and it's just been amazing."

Customer Testimonial Posted On Facebook - “It has been awhile since I have gotten my V-Rock 1x12" 10 watter back from Trace for a rebuild (documented earlier), I bought it second hand and the Custom Mod the prior owner had done wasn't what I wanted so I sent it to Trace to have it converted back to a stock V-Rock. Anyway in 6 or more months I have had it no one but me has heard it, yet I brag about it to anyone who will listen and praise Voodoo Amps and Trace Davis every chance I care to take.

This past weekend I was able to reassure my opinion of the amp with an old guitar slinger friend, I couldn't get him to stop after he got started playing. He, to say the very least, was quite taken with the amp, having been one who had heard it before the new rebuild by Trace. The questions abound, even inquiries as to the Mods available from Voodoo Amps. He was using a Custom Strat with 6.5 ohm classic 69 Fender pickups, (it sounded outstanding) playing the blues, rock and rockabilly. I personally had a blast kicking back and listening, and admiring my amp and the talent of my long time friend. Oh yes, it gave me new introspect into what the amp was even more capable of, long story short, Voodoo Amps is your one stop shop for the best amps and Mods on the planet and the Holy Grail of TONE...Really!” - Randy Hohl

Customer Feedback  "Hi Trace, Everything is going well. Can't tell you enough how much I love my Voodoo V-Plex's. Your right about the bar being raised. I can't tell you how many guitar players come up to me at a gig & want to see the amps. The amps were a big hit this past year at "Laconia Bike Week.

Also a local friend of mine wants to do an amp shoot out with my Voodoo V-Plex against his real 1968 Marshall plexi. I'll let you know how it turns out!" - Bill Marchant, NH
